Despite his threats, Wrenley subdues him, forcing him to beg for mercy. Meanwhile, Wrenley prepares for a blind date with Max Silva, a prominent lawyer, and assures her aunt that she will keep her true profession hidden. Max, however, is revealed to be entangled in a high-stakes divorce case for Li Ming, with his career hanging in the balance. In a chilling conversation, Max is warned to control his violent tendencies, hinting at his dark past. As Wrenley enters the Silva household, the stage is set for a dangerous game of secrets and survival.
- Ep. 2Wrenley, posing as a mild-mannered "home organizer," meets Max Silva's family for the first time. Max's parents are impressed by her seemingly gentle and domestic demeanor, though his mother, Helen, remains suspicious. Wrenley skillfully deflects questions about her secretive job, claiming she specializes in household cleaning. Max's father praises her as a "virtuous wife and mother," but Helen subtly warns Wrenley about the family's dark history, hinting at the abuse Max's late wife endured. Wrenley, however, remains composed, playing the role of a naive bride-to-be. Later, Helen confronts Wrenley privately, urging her not to marry Max, revealing her fear for Wrenley's safety. Wrenley, determined to uncover the truth and protect Max's daughter, Della, continues her charade, pretending to be oblivious to the family's violent tendencies. Meanwhile, Max's father casually mentions Max's "temper," hinting at his abusive nature, but Wrenley brushes it off, maintaining her facade. The tension builds as Wrenley inches closer to exposing the Silva family's secrets while keeping her true identity hidden.
- Ep. 3Wrenley, still maintaining her sweet and innocent facade, has a tense conversation with her mother-in-law, Helen. Helen subtly tries to dissuade Wrenley from staying with Max, hinting at his volatile nature. Wrenley, however, brushes off the warnings, claiming she can handle his temper. She notices a bruise on Helen’s head, raising her suspicions about the family’s dark secrets. Helen quickly deflects, but Wrenley’s concern grows. Later, Max arrives, and the atmosphere shifts. He insists Wrenley move into the Silva household immediately, eager to integrate her into the family. Wrenley agrees, masking her true intentions. As she steps into the grand Silva home, she is both wary and determined. She knows this is her chance to uncover the truth and protect Helen and Della from the cycle of abuse. The tension is palpable as Wrenley prepares to navigate the dangerous dynamics of the Silva family, all while keeping her true identity hidden.
- Ep. 4Wrenley, now married to Max, moves into the Silva household. She notices the eerie emptiness of the large house, which Max explains was intentionally arranged to make her feel comfortable. Max reassures her of his commitment to their marriage, emphasizing his experience as a divorce lawyer and his understanding of the importance of a happy family. However, Wrenley begins to sense tension when Max receives a call about a woman who allegedly attacked someone, hinting at his darker side. As Wrenley explores the house, she meets Della, Max’s daughter from his late wife. Della appears nervous and hesitant, especially when Wrenley notices a photo of her mother. Max intervenes, scolding Della for taking the photo, revealing his controlling and harsh demeanor. Wrenley, determined to protect Della and uncover the truth about the Silva family’s abusive history, continues to play the role of the doting wife while secretly gathering evidence to break the cycle of violence.
- Ep. 5Wrenley, still maintaining her innocent facade, engages in a tense conversation with Max about Della, his daughter. Max reveals that Della’s mother, Quincy, passed away early, and Della often cries when she sees her mother’s photos. Max claims he’s the only parent Della has now and promises to take good care of her. Wrenley, pretending to be sympathetic, probes further, asking if Quincy’s depression started after giving birth to Della. Max’s tone shifts abruptly, and he becomes defensive, lashing out with violent threats, revealing his true abusive nature. Wrenley, shocked but composed, realizes the depth of Max’s cruelty and the danger Della and Helen are in. She remains calm, knowing she must continue to gather evidence to protect them and break the cycle of abuse.
