Joanne, masking her guilt, insists they focus on their future in the city, where they can live a life of luxury. But the weight of their actions lingers, leaving them haunted by the possibility of exposure.

  Claire Jordan, now the long-lost heiress of the powerful Jordan family, returns to inspect her family's business empire. The employees are in awe as they welcome her, unaware of her dark past. Among them, Wayne Bond, her abusive ex-husband, is shocked to see her alive. He had believed she was dead after burying her alive to cover up their crime.
