In a separate scene, a person is searching for someone using an old handkerchief as a clue. They visit an orphanage, now demolished, and learn that the old director passed away five years ago. The search seems like finding a needle in a haystack. Later, a young girl named Ayu reunites with her parents, but they refuse to let her take someone else with her. The girl promises to return for the person and asks them not to forget her. The scene ends with a sense of longing and separation.
