• Ep. 1
  After being released from prison, he returns home to find his wife with another man. The woman he thought was his wife tells him she never married him and calls him a "useless prisoner." The man, Zhang Shao, reveals that he has been in a relationship with the woman, Lin Lin, for some time. The ex-prisoner realizes he was betrayed and framed, leading to his imprisonment. He accuses Lin Lin and Zhang Shao of conspiring against him, and Zhang Shao threatens him, saying he would have killed him if not for the fact that they had saved his life in the past. The scene ends with Zhang Shao telling Lin Lin to stop wasting time talking to the "useless dog."
• Ep. 2
  After eight years in prison, he returns to his family, only to discover his wife's betrayal. Determined to uncover the truth, he begins to investigate. He recalls being wrongly imprisoned and secretly joining an organization, which led him to become a successful warrior. However, he soon realizes that some debts can never be repaid. A subordinate informs him that they have uncovered the truth behind his imprisonment, revealing that someone had been manipulating events from behind the scenes. The mastermind is possibly linked to the "京城消假" (Jingcheng Xiaohua), a powerful figure who had exiled him eight years ago. The warrior, now known as "战神" (War God), receives an offer to release his enemy, the Ye family, but he declines, stating that they are no match for him. Instead, he sets his sights on the Xiao family, his true enemies. A plan is set in motion to spread a message that War God will destroy the Ye family on New Year's Eve. The Ye family, however, is ecstatic about the prospect of meeting War God, believing it will bring them good fortune and elevate their social status. Unbeknownst to them, War God has ulterior motives, and a complex web of alliances and rivalries begins to unfold.
• Ep. 3
  At a family gathering, the grandfather announces the upcoming wedding of Linlin and Zhang Shao. However, the atmosphere turns tense when Chen Xin's attire is criticized, and he claims to have been locked in his room. The grandfather declares that from that day on, Ye Wan will be expelled from the family business and no longer considered a member of the Ye family. Ye Wan's mother orders him to kneel down and apologize, but he refuses, claiming he did nothing wrong. The scene ends with a confrontation between Ye Wan and his family members.
• Ep. 4
  A confrontation erupts between萧毅 and 张绍's uncle. The uncle belittles 萧毅, calling him a "废狗" and ordering him to kneel down and crawl under his legs. However, 萧毅 stands firm, revealing that he was saved by 婉清, not the叶家. He accuses the叶家 of betraying婉清 and declares that he no longer owes them anything. The scene ends with萧毅's defiant statement, showcasing his determination to uncover the truth and seek justice.
• Ep. 5
  Wan Qiang presents a luxurious engagement ring to his girlfriend, claiming it's worth $50 million. However, her mother ridicules him, calling the ring fake and saying he can't afford something so valuable. Wan Qiang assures his girlfriend that he will give her an even better gift on their wedding day. The mother disapproves of their relationship, insulting Wan Qiang and ordering her men to break his legs. Just as the situation escalates, a powerful figure, Long Huang, arrives, commanding respect from everyone present.
