Luna Orb, the revered Moon Goddess, was involved in a car accident five years ago. Believing Silas Lock had saved her life, she pledged her devotion to him and became his fiancée. Each month, she faithfully sent him financial support as he struggled in the city. However, unbeknownst to Luna, the mayor’s daughter had taken a liking to Silas and desired him as her husband.

Ep. 1
Luna's family discusses sending financial support to Silas, her fiancé, who is struggling in the city. They believe he will succeed and become a great person. However, they soon learn that Silas has become the vice president of the North City Chamber of Commerce and is being pursued by the mayor's daughter. Luna's family is shocked and wonders if Silas will abandon Luna for the mayor's daughter. Luna decides to visit Silas to clarify the situation. Upon arriving, she meets Silas, who seems to be living a luxurious life. The conversation is tense, and Luna demands to know the truth about Silas' intentions.
Ep. 2
Silas Lock sits with his mother, who comments on how he has become successful. His mother mentions that Aweng said Silas would marry a mature girl, referring to Luna Orb. Silas' mother thanks him for taking care of her over the years and offers him a card with money, saying it's enough to last a lifetime. Silas reveals that he has been struggling in the city, but now the mayor's daughter is interested in him, and he can improve his social status by marrying her. He implies that he will abandon Luna for a more advantageous marriage, leaving Luna heartbroken.

Luna Orb confronts Silas Lock about his decision to marry the mayor's daughter. She reminds him of his past promises to her, saying "you said you would come and marry me with a grand ceremony once you've made a name for yourself." However, Silas' mother intervenes, stating that Silas has a better opportunity now and Luna is not suitable for him due to her low social status as a factory worker. The mother tells Luna to leave Silas alone, saying "you're just a factory worker, you're not worthy of my son." Silas remains indifferent, highlighting the class difference between them, saying "I'm now a member of the North City Chamber of Commerce, and you're just a factory worker." Luna feels betrayed and hurt by Silas' words, realizing she has been blind to his true intentions for five years.

Luna's fiancé, Silas, is being persuaded by his family to marry the mayor's daughter instead. Silas' mother tells Luna that she is not suitable for her son, who has become a successful businessman, and that she should leave him. Luna asks Silas if he ever truly loved her, but he remains silent. Silas' mother hands Luna a card with money, telling her to take it and leave, as she is not worthy of their family. Silas eventually tells his guards to take Luna away, stating that he doesn't want to hear her anymore.
Ep. 5
Luna Orb confronts Silas Lock, calling him a scoundrel. She gives him two options: take money and leave, or have his hands and feet broken and be left on the streets. Silas refuses, and Luna threatens to expose his true nature. Just then, the mayor's daughter, Fei Fei, arrives with Silas' brother, addressing Luna as "Auntie". Fei Fei asks who Luna is, and Silas introduces her as his fiancée. Fei Fei seems displeased, calling Luna dirty and implying she's a mistress. The scene ends with tension between the characters, setting the stage for further conflict.
