• Ep. 1
  Leo Lowe, now the emperor, reflects on his humble beginnings in his hometown, where he once lived in poverty and was cared for by a woman named Tina Leed. He recalls their engagement and the promise he made to return and make her his empress. Determined to fulfill his vow, he decides to return to his village in disguise, accompanied by his trusted advisor, Wang Shichang. As they approach the village, Wang expresses concern for the emperor's safety, but Leo reassures him, confident that his hometown holds no danger. Wang insists on giving Leo a silver sword as a precaution, instructing him to use it to summon help if needed. Leo, now disguised as a commoner, prepares to enter the village alone, determined to reconnect with his past and honor his promise to Tina.
• Ep. 2
  Lin Feng and his companion rush to the city gates after hearing that a significant figure is arriving. Lin Feng’s father, burdened with official duties, sends him ahead to greet the visitor, hoping to gain favor and secure a prosperous future. Along the way, Lin Feng expresses frustration about his engagement to a man he considers worthless, mocking the promise that his fiancé would return as an emperor. At the city gates, they encounter a long line of people being forced to pay an entrance fee. A villager pleads with the guards, explaining that he needs to sell his medicinal herbs to save his ailing mother. The guards, unmoved, demand payment or confiscate his goods. Just as tensions rise, a voice interrupts, condemning the guards for their corruption and abuse of power in broad daylight. The scene sets the stage for a confrontation, hinting at the return of someone who will challenge the unjust system.
• Ep. 3
  Leo Lowe, disguised as a common villager, returns to his hometown to fulfill his promise to Tina. Upon arriving, he encounters corrupt officials demanding entrance fees from the villagers. When Leo questions the unjust practice, the officials label him a troublemaker and threaten him with imprisonment. Leo, unyielding, accuses them of exploiting the people and violating the law. The officials, enraged, mock him and escalate their threats. Leo, maintaining his composure, warns them of the severe consequences for their actions under the law. The confrontation intensifies as the officials, underestimating Leo, continue to provoke him, unaware of his true identity and the power he wields. The scene sets the stage for Leo to reveal his authority and bring justice to the corrupt officials.
• Ep. 4
  Leo Lowe, disguised as a common villager, returns to his hometown to fulfill his promise to his fiancée, Tina Leed. However, he is stopped at the village entrance by guards demanding a toll. When he refuses to pay, a commotion ensues, and the guards label him a troublemaker. Tina’s wealthy suitor, Shen, arrives and mocks Leo, questioning his claim of becoming emperor. Shen taunts Leo, pointing out his inability to pay the toll and ridiculing his past promise to make Tina his empress. Leo, calm and composed, reveals his true identity as the emperor, leaving everyone in shock. The scene ends with Leo asserting his authority, leaving the villagers and Shen in awe of his presence.
• Ep. 5
  Leo Lowe, disguised as a commoner, returns to his village to fulfill his promise to Tina Leed, his former fiancée. However, Tina, now engaged to Lin Feng, mocks Leo for his humble appearance, questioning his claim of being the emperor. She ridicules him, comparing him to a beggar and stating that he is unworthy of her. Leo, hurt and confused, reminds her of their past and the promise he made to return and make her his empress. Tina coldly reveals that she never cared for him and only pretended to be his fiancée to gain access to his family's estate. She further claims that it was her sister, Lin Qingwan, who had shown him kindness, not her. Devastated, Leo questions her cruelty, but Tina dismisses him, calling him unworthy of her. In a final moment of defiance, Leo hints at his true identity, leaving Tina and the audience in suspense.
