• Ep. 1
  Elis Fields rushes to save Tristan Sharp, who is in critical condition and requires a rare blood type. Elis, who shares the same blood type, volunteers to donate, stepping into the hospital to assist. Meanwhile, chaos erupts at home as Elis’ father brings his mistress and illegitimate daughter into their household, forcing Elis’ mother to sign divorce papers and threatening to expel them. Elis receives a frantic call from her mother, urging her to return home immediately. At the hospital, tensions rise as the medical team is pressured to save Tristan, with threats of severe consequences if they fail. Elis, caught between the turmoil at home and the life-threatening situation at the hospital, faces an emotional crossroads. Later, Tristan, grateful for Elis’ lifesaving act, offers to help her in return, asking for her address to personally assist her. Elis, overwhelmed by the events, must navigate her crumbling family life and the unexpected connection forming with Tristan.

  Elis's mother confronts her husband, Jiang Feng, in a heated argument, accusing him of betraying her for his mistress. The tension escalates as Jiang Feng orders Elis and her mother to leave, solidifying the family’s bitter divide.

  Elis confronts her father, Jiang Feng, and his mistress in a heated argument. She accuses him of betraying their family, reminding him of the sacrifices she and her mother made, including spending money to treat her blind brother. Jiang Feng dismisses her, proudly declaring his preference for his new daughter, Weiwei, over his son. Elis is devastated as her father coldly orders her to leave. Elis reassures her mother, promising to find both happiness and the funds for the surgery. After leaving the hospital, Elis begins her search for the money. Meanwhile, Tristan’s assistant reports that Elis and her mother were at the hospital but left, likely unable to pay the hefty surgery fee. Tristan, growing impatient, demands that his assistant locate Elis within three days or face consequences. The tension rises as Elis races against time to save her mother, while Tristan’s interest in her deepens.

  Elis, desperate for funds to cover her mother's medical expenses, reluctantly approaches her father and his mistress for help. In a tense and awkward encounter, the mistress, Jiang Lan, introduces herself with a mix of politeness and condescension. She evaluates Elis with a critical eye, commenting on her appearance and figure, deeming her "passable." Jiang Lan then lays out her expectations for Elis, should she marry into their family: Elis must bear a son before marriage, surrender her entire salary, and dedicate all her free time to the family. She even warns Elis not to retaliate if her parents mistreat her. The conversation is laced with arrogance and control, leaving Elis visibly uncomfortable and overwhelmed. The scene ends with Elis struggling to process the demeaning demands, her desperation clashing with her pride.
