"I will take you to someone who can help," they say, leading her through the shadows of the estate. Clarice's heart races as they navigate the labyrinthine halls, every step bringing her closer to freedom—or deeper into peril. The tension mounts as they approach a hidden exit, but the sound of approaching footsteps sends a chill down her spine. "Hurry," the servant urges, "we must go now." Clarice clings to the hope of escape, her fate hanging in the balance.
• Ep. 4
  Clarice, desperate to escape her forced marriage to Jules Laverne, finds herself in a tense confrontation. Jules taunts her, mocking her attempts to flee and her connection to someone named Mo Chen, who seems to be an ally or friend. Jules reveals that he has captured Mo Chen, who tried to help Clarice escape, and has beaten him severely. Clarice pleads for Mo Chen’s release, but Jules remains cruel and unyielding, reminding her that she has no power in this situation. Despite her fear, Clarice tries to negotiate, but Jules dismisses her, asserting his control over her life. The scene ends with Clarice’s growing despair as she realizes the futility of her efforts to break free from Jules’ grasp.

  Jules Laverne confronts Clarice, warning her to stay within the Laverne estate or face his wrath. Clarice, defiant, vows to escape no matter the cost, expressing her determination to break free from his control. Jules, growing increasingly frustrated, reminds her of her promises and accuses her of underestimating him. He threatens to destroy her family and harm those she cares about, claiming she has pushed him to this point. Clarice, desperate, pleads for mercy, but Jules, consumed by anger, declares that if he cannot control her heart, he will resort to violence to keep her in place. The tension escalates as Jules threatens to physically harm her, leaving Clarice in a state of fear and despair, repeatedly begging him to stop. The scene ends with a chilling standoff, highlighting the toxic power struggle between them.
