• Ep. 1
  A young child, Tongtong, tries to wake her mother, Shen Zhiyi, who has been sleeping for a long time. The child notices her mother’s cold body and attempts to warm her, unaware that her mother has already passed away. Meanwhile, the father, Ian, arrives with divorce papers, demanding Shen Zhiyi sign them, even though she is unresponsive. Tongtong, confused and hungry, interacts with a stranger who questions her about her family. The stranger later discovers Shen Zhiyi’s lifeless body and realizes the child has been unknowingly staying with her deceased mother for days. The scene ends with Tongtong repeatedly calling for her father, who is no longer there, leaving her alone and heartbroken.

  Zoey Summers, now reborn as Willow Waters, confronts Ian Jennings, who has just become the richest man in the country. At the hospital, Tongtong vomits, and Willow’s mother-in-law harshly criticizes her, calling Tongtong a "burden" and questioning why Ian ever married Willow. Despite the insults, Willow remains composed, thanking her mother-in-law for her help. Tongtong, overhearing the cruel remarks, defends herself, insisting she is a "treasure," not a burden. Meanwhile, Willow’s mother-in-law receives a call about a mahjong game and prioritizes it over staying with Tongtong, leaving Willow to deal with the situation alone.   Zoey, now living as Willow Waters, returns to protect her daughter and reconnect with Ian. Her daughter repeatedly calls out for her mother, showing her longing and confusion.
