• Ep. 1
  Hendrix Zink, transported to the Victorian Era by a mysterious ring, finds himself in the room of Zhou He, a renowned anti-invasion hero from the Republican Era. The room is filled with artifacts from Zhou He's life, including the bed he once slept in. As Hendrix explores, he is suddenly addressed as "Young Master" by a servant, who is visibly relieved that he has finally woken up after three days of unconsciousness. Confused, Hendrix realizes he has somehow taken over the body of Zhou He himself. Shocked and disoriented, he grapples with the reality of his situation, questioning whether this is some cruel joke. Determined to make sense of his new identity, Hendrix resolves to navigate this unfamiliar world and fulfill the legacy of the hero he has become.

  Hendrix Zink, now in the Victorian Era, finds himself in the body of a young nobleman recovering from an injury. His family is skeptical of his sudden change in behavior, with his father dismissing his newfound seriousness as a joke. Hendrix, however, is determined to prove himself, especially after learning about the death of a revered general, which he vows to avenge. During a military strategy meeting, Hendrix’s younger brother suggests giving him a chance to contribute. Despite his father’s doubts, Hendrix proposes a tactical approach to deal with a bandit threat, criticizing the idea of a direct assault. His brother mocks him, but Hendrix remains resolute, hinting at his deeper knowledge and strategic thinking. Meanwhile, tensions rise as suspicions about a past poisoning attempt surface, adding layers of intrigue to the family dynamics. Hendrix’s presence begins to stir both admiration and unease among those around him.

  Hendrix Zink, now in the Victorian Era, finds himself amidst a tense discussion about a strategic plan to deal with the bandits of Longxin Mountain. The group debates the feasibility of various approaches, with some suggesting poisoning the bandits, while others propose more drastic measures like bombing the mountain. Hendrix, however, offers a more calculated plan: digging trenches to block the bandits' escape routes, forcing them to surrender without a costly battle. His unexpected strategic insight surprises everyone, especially his brother, who had underestimated him. As the discussion continues, a new complication arises—Xu Wenwei, the daughter of General Xu, arrives, seemingly to break off an engagement. The scene sets the stage for both strategic and personal conflicts, hinting at deeper tensions and alliances to come.

  In the Zhou family's grand hall, tensions rise as Miss Xu arrives unannounced to discuss her engagement to Zhou He. Zhou He's father, Zhou Yan, questions her sudden visit, reminding her that the marriage was arranged by their respective fathers, both influential marshals. Miss Xu, however, boldly declares her intention to break off the engagement, citing the Zhou family's stagnant military strength compared to her family's growing power. She mocks Zhou He, claiming he is no longer worthy of her. Zhou He retaliates, exposing the Xu family's past struggles and how they once sought the Zhou family's protection through this marriage. He accuses Miss Xu of ingratitude, pointing out that her family's current strength was built on the Zhou family's concessions. The heated exchange reveals deep-seated resentment and pride, with both sides unwilling to back down. The confrontation escalates, leaving the future of their alliance uncertain.
• Ep. 5
  In a tense confrontation, Xu Mei and Zhou He engage in a heated argument over the status of their families. Xu Mei asserts that the Zhou family is no match for the Xu family, warning Zhou He that his actions could disrupt the fragile peace between them. Zhou He, however, retaliates with defiance, accusing Xu Mei of betrayal and vowing to one day overpower the Xu family. He declares his intention to annul their engagement, severing all ties between them. Xu Mei, furious, dismisses Zhou He as a worthless heir and threatens him with violence if he does not leave immediately. The scene ends with a palpable tension, as both parties stand their ground, their animosity threatening to escalate into open conflict.
