  Rita gets into Randall's car, apologizing for keeping him waiting. She asks to make a couple of stops, and they head to 17 Washington Avenue. As they drive, Randall offers to turn on the radio to lighten the mood, but Rita seems troubled. She asks Randall about his neighbors, and he replies they're okay. Rita reveals she hates her neighbors, the Smites, describing them as despicable people who don't deserve to breathe. Randall is taken aback by her intensity, sympathetically responding "Wow, I'm sorry."
