• Ep. 1
  Flynn Lane returns home after five years, and his wedding ceremony with Kate is about to take place. However, Flynn's thoughts are elsewhere as he recalls the past. He had been saved by someone five years ago, but was misled into believing it was Kate. As the ceremony begins, Flynn announces that he wants to make a statement on behalf of the women. He invites guests to his belated wedding ceremony and reveals that he has been waiting for this day for five years. Meanwhile, Kate seems uninterested in the proceedings, and her eyes wander elsewhere. The scene is filled with tension as Flynn's true intentions remain unclear.

  Flynn confronts Kate about her flirtatious behavior with another person. He reveals that he knows she wasn't his true savior five years ago. Kate's attitude towards Flynn changes, and she shows disrespect, asking him to buy her something worth a million. Flynn's associates mention that he has bought a luxury item, but Kate belittles him.   Flynn discovers that the woman who saved him five years ago was not Kate, but Sami. He learns that Old Mr. Elrod misled him and that Kate was involved with another person. Flynn's associate informs him that the woman who actually saved him is Qin Xi, the daughter of Qin Xueping, a private child of the Qin family. The Qin family had been deceiving Flynn for five years, and now they are pressuring his woman. Flynn decides to take matters into his own hands and deal with the Qin family. He says, "The Qin family deceived me for five years, but now they dare to coerce my woman." Flynn is determined to put an end to the Qin family's schemes and protect the people he cares about.

  Flynn's past is revealed as he recalls being saved by Sami Elrod five years ago. However, he was misled into believing Kate was his rescuer and married her out of gratitude. Now, Flynn has achieved success and returned home to find Kate with another man. In a separate scene, Qin Yi is being scolded by her family for having a child out of wedlock. Her grandfather demands she go to the Wang family tonight to repay her debt to the Qin family. If she doesn't, her child's medical fees will be cut off. Qin Yi reluctantly agrees, but not before standing up for herself against her family's harsh words.
• Ep. 5
  Flynn confronts the person who has been bothering his woman, demanding to know who gave them the courage to do so. The scene escalates into a physical altercation, with Flynn standing up for himself and his loved one. Meanwhile, a conversation between two characters reveals that Lin Yang wants to break up with someone, but they are not sure if it's because he came back to apologize or not. Later, Sun You apologizes for being late, and Lin Yang proposes to Xiao Qi, asking if she is willing to marry him. However, their romantic moment is disrupted by a rival who insults Lin Yang, calling him a "waste" and daring him to fight back. The scene ends with a tense confrontation between the two men.
