Lauren Turner is a werewolf who is struggling to contain the crazy wolf inside of her. But her life starts to change and gets even more complicated when the powerful Alpha, Sebastian Ashford, forces Lauren into a contractual marriage. Lauren and Sebastian must deal with the ramifications of their false nuptials alongside the constant threat that their identity will be discovered by the humans. But little does Lauren know, that Sebastian’s true reasons for entering into this contract may be the biggest threat of all.

Ep. 1
Lauren talks to her friend Claire on the phone, declining an invitation to dinner. Claire has been trying to cheer Lauren up since her divorce three months ago, but Lauren insists she's no longer sad. She needs to focus on work, ensuring the next shipment arrives on time. As they wrap up their conversation, Claire expresses concern that Lauren works too hard. They bid each other farewell, with Claire sending a affectionate "muah" before hanging up.
Ep. 2
Lauren finds herself in an unknown location, where she meets Officer Sebastian Ashford. He reveals that he brought her there to avoid being overheard by humans and proposes a partnership - a contractual marriage, where Lauren would be his wife, or "Luna", in public only. Sebastian's intention is to keep their true identities hidden from humans, but Lauren is resistant to the idea. As they converse, it becomes clear that Lauren struggles to control her werewolf personality, and Sebastian sees this as an opportunity to help her, while also achieving his own goals. The conversation is tense, with Lauren accusing Sebastian of kidnapping her, and Sebastian insisting that he only wants to talk and help her.

Sebastian proposes a partnership to Lauren, but she's shocked and confused. "What is this? Some sort of joke? Is this a proposal?" she asks. Sebastian confirms it's a proposal, but not for a real marriage. He reveals that his reason for doing this is connected to the ongoing investigation into Michael Steinbach's murder, which he believes Lauren is involved in.
