Meanwhile, Li Wan Zhou warns Ji Chuan that he will regret leaving Kaitlin, and Kaitlin herself seems to be finding solace in her newfound independence, declaring "I'm back home" as she returns to her family.

  Kaitlin's sister is furious when she finds out that her brother-in-law, Jian, has brought a man home. She scolds him, saying he's being reckless and deserves to be beaten. The argument escalates, with Kaitlin's sister revealing the hardships she faced as the family's servant, doing all the household chores for three years without any appreciation. Jian's mother intervenes, calling Kaitlin's sister a dog and implying that she's not worthy of joining their wealthy family. As the situation becomes more heated, Jian's mother orders her son to leave with the man, but Kaitlin's sister threatens to expose them. Just as things are about to get out of hand, Jian receives a call from someone named Li Wan, warning him that he's in danger and needs to return home immediately.
