• Ep. 1
  Yvonne returns home after being abducted at a young age. Her father, Mel, had been searching for her and is overjoyed to see her again. He plans to reveal his true identity to Yvonne's mother at a welcome-back party tonight. However, things take a complicated turn when Yvonne's mother, Judith, mistakenly believes that Mel is having an affair with another woman. Meanwhile, it is revealed that the party is actually a gathering for Qin, a wealthy and influential man who lost his daughter years ago and is now searching for her. The story sets the stage for a dramatic and potentially explosive confrontation at the party tonight.
• Ep. 2
  Mel's girlfriend, Judith, mistakenly believes Yvonne is his mistress and confronts her. "You're looking for a mistress?" she asks, to which someone replies, "Who's laughing so happily? Won't it be Aunt Zhu?" Judith is described as overly clingy. Mel tells Judith to go home and stop looking for him. He says, "Let's go, the banquet is about to start." Meanwhile, someone warns that certain people should not attend the party, referring to them as "fox spirits." The scene ends with Mel telling someone to go clean up, possibly referring to Yvonne.
• Ep. 3
  Mel tells Yvonne to rest and promises to pick her up later. Judith, Mel's girlfriend, mistakenly believes Yvonne is his mistress and confronts her violently. Meanwhile, Mel gives Yvonne a piggy bank he used to collect coins during his search for her, filling it every time he visited a new place without finding her. He hands it over to Yvonne now that she has returned. The scene shifts to Judith, who is scheming with someone, referring to Mel as "that old cripple" and planning to take action against Yvonne, whom she calls "that vixen".
• Ep. 4
  Judith confronts Yvonne violently, mistakenly believing she is Mel's mistress. "Why can't I?" Judith asks, "You're not even a good person." Yvonne tries to leave, but Judith tells her to stay. The scene becomes intense as Judith repeatedly says "don't" and tries to assert her dominance. Later, a conversation between two characters reveals that Mel likes Yvonne, and one of them comments on her appearance. Another character warns someone not to be fooled by a "cheap trick." A mother-son conversation ensues, where the mother advises her son to gain the favor of the Qin family relatives at the upcoming return banquet. She tells him that this will help him rise to prominence in the Qin family and have his pick of girls. The son agrees with his mother's plan.
• Ep. 5
  Judith confronts Yvonne, believing she is Mel's mistress. "You think you're the Qin family's daughter?" Judith mocks. Yvonne remains calm, and Judith continues to taunt her, saying if Yvonne were the Qin family's daughter, she would be the president's wife. The argument escalates, with Judith insulting Yvonne's appearance and background. A man intervenes, suggesting that Yvonne is not suitable for the Qin family's return party. Judith agrees, saying Yvonne is not worthy of attending such an event. The scene ends with Judith's malicious intentions towards Yvonne.
