The young heiress of the Holt family was abducted and sold by a human trafficker. In an orphanage, she gave away an amulet, which had been a gift from her mother, to a little beggar. From that moment on, the fates of the two girls were drastically altered. The little beggar was taken home by the Holt family and treated as their own daughter, while the true heiress was adopted by a street vendor. He even promises to take her home when they find her mother. They make a pact to be friends forever, sealing it with a handshake. The vendor tells her to listen to her mother's stories about past events. It appears that the girl has been separated from her family, and the vendor is trying to comfort her.
