The wealthy family's representative, referred to as "Uncle Yuan," arrives to take Belle away, and Sue convinces her sister to go, promising that their separation is temporary and for the greater good. The subtitles reflect the emotional turmoil of the sisters as they part ways, with Sue reassuring Belle that she will always be there for her, no matter what. In the opening scene of the episode, we are introduced to the wealthy Shaw family as they announce that Belle York, the adopted daughter, is now the heiress to their fortune. Despite her newfound status, Belle (subtitle 1), is determined to find her twin sister, Sue York, who was given up for adoption years ago due to her heart disease. The narrative then shifts to Sue, who is shown suffering at the hands of her husband's family, culminating in her being pushed down the stairs (subtitle 10). Belle infiltrates Sue's husband's family by pretending to be her (subtitle 4), and she meticulously plans to make sure that everything she has, including clothes and jewelry, is prepared in duplicate to maintain her ruse (subtitle 12-14). As she settles into her new role, Belle is recognized as the national violin champion under her new identity, Sheng Nan (subtitle 18-19), highlighting her accomplishments and the dual life she leads. The episode also reveals the family's greed and disregard for Sue, who they consider an outsider and unworthy of their wealth (subtitle 35-39). Belle, now as Sue, confronts the family's mistreatment and their attempts to usurp the family fortune following the patriarch's death (subtitle 30-34). The tension escalates as Belle, in her quest for justice, stands up to the family, asserting her right to the inheritance and her determination to protect her sister's legacy (subtitle 43-52).
  • Ep. 3
In the opening scene of the episode, we are introduced to a family in turmoil. The matriarch, a wealthy and powerful woman, has just lost her husband and is asserting her dominance over the household, threatening to send those who oppose her to join him in the afterlife (00:00:06,000-00:00:14,000). She is also given new information about her long-lost twin sister, Sue York, who had been given up for adoption years ago due to her heart disease (00:00:24,000-00:00:27,000).
