• Ep. 1
  In a chaotic scene, the emperor, Ryan Jones, is injured outside the palace. His guards are frantically searching for him, warning that if they don't find him, they will all be punished. Meanwhile, Eden Shaw encounters a man who has been drugged and decides to help him, not knowing he is the emperor. As she tends to his wounds, she learns that he has been poisoned and must act quickly to save his life. Despite her initial hesitation, Eden chooses to help the stranger, unaware of the significant consequences this action will have on her future.
• Ep. 2
  Eden is questioned about her whereabouts the previous night. She claims to have gone to pick herbs on the mountain. Meanwhile, a conversation between two characters reveals that one had promised to give the other a gift, but it seems the gift has been lost. The giver assures the receiver that they did indeed purchase the gift and had even instructed the seamstress to embroider the receiver's name on it. Later, Eden's medical skills are recognized, and she is advised to become a royal physician. However, it's noted that as a woman, she may not be eligible for an official position. The scene then shifts to the imperial palace, where the emperor's arrival is announced, and the courtiers pay their respects.

  In the palace, Emperor Ryan Jones greets the new physicians, including Eden Shaw. He asks her to lift her head and explain why she wants to be a physician in the palace. Eden replies that she has studied medicine since childhood and aims to heal people and bring peace to the world. The emperor is surprised to see that all the new physicians are women and questions their ability to perform the job. Meanwhile, another character reports that a certain girl has been found, and the emperor summons her to his presence immediately.
• Ep. 5
  Eden Shaw, also known as Lin Miao Qing, is summoned to the emperor's presence. The emperor, Ryan Jones, reveals that he knows she is the one who saved him in the mountain cave. He assures her that she will be rewarded for her good deed and offers her a place in the palace. Eden is hesitant at first, but the emperor's kindness puts her at ease. He tells her that she can enter the palace as a concubine, with a high salary of 2,000 silver coins per month, which would make her family happy. The emperor's words are laced with affection and gratitude, hinting at a deeper connection between them.
