Before leaving on a mission, he sternly warns his apprentice to stay put and avoid any trouble. The apprentice, however, questions Hugo's logic, arguing that their job is to help those in need, not to turn them away. Hugo, unyielding, insists that the apprentice stay safe, even promising to find him a wife upon his return. He leaves behind a precious artifact, claiming it could save the apprentice's life.
