Macy is set up with Josh by Harper as a prank. Macy receives an unexpected call from Harper, Westfield High's junior prom queen, who claims a guy likes her and wants to go out. The guy is revealed to be Josh Darby, the captain of the soccer team and homecoming king. Macy is surprised and hesitant, having never gone out with anyone before and thinking Josh doesn't know she exists. Harper encourages Macy to call Josh, providing his number and urging her to take a chance.
