Il y a vingt ans, Briana Lu et Austin Fu étaient liés par un contrat de mariage céleste. Si elle était brisée, l’une perdrait la vie et ses mérites, tandis que la carrière de l’autre serait ruinée. Après avoir terminé sa formation, Briana revient pour retrouver Austin, mais il la prend pour une fraude et refuse de l'épouser. Briana le traîne pour obtenir leur licence de mariage.
