In episode 5, he is seen being scolded and eventually fired from his job. He decides to quit and celebrates with a drink, saying "from today on, we're both unemployed." His friend asks about his future plans, but he replies that they'll worry about it later and focuses on enjoying the moment. They clink glasses and toast to their new life as "unemployed."
