• Ep. 1
  The son-in-law, once a genius, is now a fool despised by everyone. He's forced into a marriage and treated poorly by his mother-in-law. The family is ridiculed because of him, and his mother-in-law wants her daughter to marry someone else, Wang Da Shu, who has taken an interest in her. The son-in-law's condition has caused the family to be mocked for three years, and they fear being ostracized by the Xia family if things continue. The mother-in-law is frustrated, feeling they've all suffered enough, and questions whether her daughter still hopes the son-in-law will recover. The scene ends with tension and disdain towards the son-in-law.
• Ep. 2
  The mother scolds her daughter for marrying a fool. The daughter's husband, who was once a genius, has lost his memory and intelligence due to poisoning. He is now despised by everyone. The mother wants her daughter to divorce him, but the daughter refuses. The family is waiting for a wealthy suitor, Wang, to arrive, and they want the daughter to marry him instead. The fool, however, is treated poorly by the family and is forced to sign documents in exchange for food. Despite his condition, he remembers fragments of his past and is determined to regain his intelligence and memory.
• Ep. 3
  In a tense scene, Xu's mother tries to return a gift from Shije, but he insists it's a token of his heart. Xu's mother scolds him, saying he's not part of the family yet and should leave. However, she reminds everyone that Xu will soon marry Shije and become one of them. Shije tries to impress Summer with his business dealings, mentioning a potential partnership with the prestigious Rongsheng Group, which could greatly benefit the Wang family. He boasts about meeting the group's chairman, Li Rongsheng, and implies that marrying him would be a good decision for Summer. Meanwhile, Xu reflects on how everyone has treated him like a fool for three years, except for Summer, who has shown him kindness.
• Ep. 4
  Shi Jie's mother tries to persuade Ruohan to marry Shi Jie, but Ruohan refuses, saying she already has a husband. Shi Jie's mother scolds her, telling her to follow Sha Erwei and leave Shi Jie alone. Ruohan stands firm, and the argument ends with Shi Jie's mother storming off. Later, someone tells Shi Jie not to be angry and promises to visit him again soon. Shi Jie is calm and collected, but it's clear that he's still being treated like a fool by those around him. Despite this, he remains determined and unwavering.
• Ep. 5
  Li Rongsheng talks to his wife, saying she should be able to understand him now and demands a divorce. However, his wife repeats "you want me to divorce you" multiple times, seemingly not comprehending or ignoring his request. Meanwhile, Li Rongsheng receives an invitation from Sun Hailong, the owner of Yuting Hotel, for dinner, which he reluctantly agrees to, granting half an hour of his time. He instructs his staff not to disturb him unless it's something important regarding the company. The scene ends with someone calling out for "San Shou Xiang" multiple times.
