With her destiny intertwined with the fate of the seal, Evelyn must decide how to proceed, all while being pursued by those who seek to exploit its power.

  Evelyn's past is revealed through a conversation between her and an elder. The elder scolds Evelyn's father for befriending the "demon girl" Ling Fengyu, which led to his downfall. Evelyn is found alone, and when asked where her family is, she is met with disdain. An older man claims Evelyn as his sister and offers to take her home. However, their grandfather refuses, calling Evelyn weak and unworthy of their family name. He tells her to leave and join the Tian Heng sect as a lowly servant. Despite this, Evelyn's brother vows to protect her. The scene ends with a comment about Evelyn being a pitiful, lonely girl who is only loved by one person.

  Evelyn's journey continues as she faces hardships and bullying within the Seron Sect. When Evelyn defends her friend, the master accuses her of being influenced by the demonic cult's bloodline and decides to personally deal with the situation to make Evelyn focus on her cultivation.
