  Mu Wanwan is expelled by her foster parents and abandoned by her boyfriend. Her foster mother reveals that Mu Wanwan is not her biological daughter and tells her to leave. Mu Wanwan's boyfriend also breaks up with her, citing that she is no longer the heiress of the wealthy Mu family. Mu Wanwan seeks refuge with her friend's grandmother, Ye Nainai, who welcomes her into the Ye family home. Ye Nainai advises Mu Wanwan to forget about her past and start anew. Mu's friend, Mulan, arrives and teases her about not being able to afford the high-end restaurant. The two friends bicker, with Mulan saying Mu doesn't deserve to eat at such a nice place. Ye intervenes, telling Mulan to stop being mean. The restaurant staff recognizes Ye as the CEO of the Ye Corporation and offers to reseat them and prepare a new meal without extra charge. Mu is impressed by Ye's influence and grateful for his kindness.

  Mu Lanlan runs into her ex-boyfriend at a restaurant where she is dining with someone else. Her ex-boyfriend tries to talk to her, but she's not interested. Meanwhile, Mu Lanlan's food is thrown on the floor, and her companion offers to get it remade. In another scene, a man learns that his long-lost daughter has been found. He sees a photo of her and notices a resemblance to his wife. He wants to bring his daughter back home immediately, even if it means searching the entire city. His assistants assure him they will do everything to find her.

  Mu is tasked by her boss to attend a birthday party for an elderly person on Saturday. Her boss gives her an invitation, which she plans to use to visit her grandmother. Meanwhile, Mu's biological parents have been found, but she doesn't want to acknowledge them since they never came looking for her. She decides to focus on her work instead. Later, Wang Wan visits the Ye family's residence, but is met with hostility by the family members, who tell her to leave and not come back. They threaten to physically harm her if she doesn't comply. Mu intervenes, trying to calm the situation, but the atmosphere remains tense. The family eventually forces Wang Wan to leave.
