Chen, a secretary, promises to take good care of him. Meanwhile, a woman considers marrying her daughter to the injured man, thinking it could bring good fortune to their family. She tries to persuade her daughter, offering her money to spend a night with a man, but the daughter seems uninterested. The story unfolds with complex relationships and plot twists.

The superior, Wang Jun, insults Luke, saying he is useless and only survives because of his family's support. Luke's dignity is repeatedly attacked, and he is goaded into a confrontation, but ultimately, he remains submissive, enduring the verbal abuse.
