• Ep. 1
  Jacob Zimmer, now the Prince Regent, wields immense power in the imperial court. He is feared and respected by all, except for Chancellor Henry Cooper, who dares to stand against him. In a conversation, Jacob is scolded for being late, but he dismisses it, saying "being late is being late." He then boasts about his authority, claiming that as the boss, he has the final say. Jacob reveals that he has traveled through time and become the Prince Regent of the Chu kingdom, with unparalleled power and influence. Even the empress refers to him as her uncle, and he can do as he pleases, finally able to assert himself after being oppressed in his previous life.
• Ep. 2
  The Prince Regent has awakened from his injuries. His servant expresses relief and asks for punishment for not being able to protect him. The Prince Regent says he won't die easily and asks why the Empress hasn't visited him. His servant replies that the Empress is busy, but the Prince Regent believes she will come because she views him as a threat. The Empress arrives and expresses concern for the Prince Regent's well-being. However, the Prince Regent reveals that he knows she doesn't truly care about him and is only visiting to assess his condition. He warns her that if she thinks he's dead, she'll send people to attack his mansion and kill him. The Empress tries to appease the Prince Regent, asking him to calm down and promising to make things right. The Prince Regent remains angry, but the scene ends with a sense of tension and unease between the two characters.
• Ep. 3
  The Prince Regent scolds a servant, demanding to know who allowed him to stand. The servant kneels and addresses the Prince Regent as "Your Majesty." The Prince Regent accuses the empress of trying to get rid of him because of the servant's constant slander. The servant denies this, saying it's not his fault. The Prince Regent warns the servant not to think he can escape punishment. The scene ends with the servant kneeling and the Prince Regent appearing satisfied. Meanwhile, the empress is mentioned, seemingly plotting against the Prince Regent. The Prince Regent asks what she plans to do next, and a conversation ensues about loyalty and obedience.
• Ep. 4
  The regent scolds the empress, saying the imperial court is more complicated than she thinks and not something she can handle. He decides to forgive her this time, but warns her that if it happens again, he won't be so lenient. The empress thanks him and promises to be more careful. The regent then tells an attendant to inform the empress dowager that he will visit her before the morning court session and asks that she say something kind to comfort the young empress. He calls the empress a pitiful little girl and assures her that he will take good care of her. Meanwhile, someone arrives and greets the regent as "Xie Ge Wang." The regent orders his attendants to leave, saying they are all useless and don't follow the rules. He invites the empress dowager to ride with him in his comfortable carriage on the way to the court session.
• Ep. 5
  Jacob Zimmer, the powerful regent, converses with someone, saying they are being overly aggressive in trying to eliminate the king. He suggests that the person's actions will cause problems for their daughter's position on the throne. Jacob proposes a plan to make it seem like the person has become his ally, making the ministers believe they have switched sides. If the person refuses, Jacob threatens to make the act real. Later, Jacob meets with the empress, discussing how to handle Zhang Jixiao, who escaped the previous night. The empress decides to deal with him openly in court. Ministers arrive and greet the empress, asking if she has come to assist them. However, her intentions are unclear.
