She's resolute in her decision, fueled by the injustices she faces at home.

  Xia Yan's sister is being insulted by a merchant who compares her to the girls at the brothel. The sister's companion stands up for her, scolding the merchant for his rudeness. The situation escalates, with the merchant becoming increasingly aggressive and the companion defending the sister's honor. Just as things are about to get out of hand, Xia Yan's brother arrives and chases the merchant away, instructing the guards to search for the princess.

  Xia Yan's stepsister assumes her identity, and Xia Yan is determined to prove her true identity. In a dramatic scene, a woman tries to sell a child, and a grandfather protects his grandson from her. The authorities arrive, and the woman is accused of being a human trafficker.   Xia Yan visits her grandfather and thanks him for his help. He tells her to be careful and she promises to repay his kindness. Later, a challenge is issued to come up with a couplet, with three pork buns as a reward. Xia Yan and others think deeply, trying to come up with a matching phrase. The conversation turns to flowers, with mentions of peach blossoms, osmanthus, and other fragrant blooms. As they ponder, someone finally claims to have thought of a solution, offering to provide the answer.
