  Joe Lowe, the once-mighty Sword Sage, finds himself reborn in the body of a young man named Zhuang Yan, who is considered a failure by his family and peers. Despite being 18 years old, Zhuang Yan has yet to master the basic skill of condensing sword energy, much to the disappointment of his father, who threatens to disown him if he doesn't improve. Zhuang Yan, however, seems resigned to his fate, declaring that he will never touch a sword again and instead chooses to wander aimlessly. Meanwhile, Zhuang Yan's fiancée, Xia Qingcheng, expresses her frustration and embarrassment over his lack of progress. She fears that their engagement will bring shame to her reputation, especially with the upcoming recognition ceremony for the third-generation disciples of the Ten Thousand Swords Manor. If Zhuang Yan fails to demonstrate his ability to condense sword energy, he will be expelled from the manor, and their engagement will be annulled. As Zhuang Yan struggles with his identity and the expectations placed upon him, he is constantly ridiculed by his peers, including his senior brother, who mocks him for his incompetence. Despite the pressure, Zhuang Yan remains indifferent, leaving those around him to wonder if he will ever rise to the occasion or continue to be seen as a worthless burden.
• Ep. 3
  In the third episode of *Blade of Destiny*, tensions rise within the martial arts sect. A junior disciple, Zhuang Yan, confronts the senior disciple, questioning his authority and demanding respect. The senior disciple, a renowned swordsman, is unimpressed and dismisses Zhuang Yan's arrogance. Zhuang Yan, however, continues to provoke, claiming his status as the sole direct disciple of the sect and accusing others of jealousy. He mocks the senior disciple's achievements, suggesting that even the royal court would honor him, yet he remains unthreatened. The confrontation escalates as Zhuang Yan taunts the group, asserting his superiority and belittling their skills. The scene ends with Zhuang Yan's smug laughter, leaving the sect members visibly frustrated and divided.
• Ep. 4
  In the heart of the Wan Jian Mountain Villa, tensions rise as the disciples confront each other. Zhuang Yan, the young master of the villa, is accused of breaking the rules by not carrying his sword. The senior disciples mock him, warning that if he fails to master the sword's energy within three months, he will be expelled from the villa. Despite their taunts, Zhuang Yan remains defiant, claiming he can survive on his own. The senior disciples, particularly the eldest, threaten Zhuang Yan with severe punishment for his violation of the villa's rules. According to the rules, any disciple who fails to carry their sword must endure three days and nights of immersion in the icy waters of the Bi Bo Pond as a form of discipline. The disciples jeer, recalling how Zhuang Yan nearly drowned the last time he was in the pond, suggesting he might not survive the cold this time. Zhuang Yan's sister, a senior disciple, urges him to apologize to the eldest disciple to avoid the harsh punishment. However, Zhuang Yan, proud and unyielding, refuses to back down. The eldest disciple gives him an ultimatum: either he submits to the punishment willingly, or they will force him into the pond. Zhuang Yan, standing his ground, chooses to face the consequences head-on, determined to prove his resilience and strength.
• Ep. 5
  In the midst of a tense confrontation at the Ten Thousand Arrows Manor, a disciple refuses to comply with the strict rules of the sect, claiming he has the right to an exception. The senior disciple, angered by his defiance, reminds him of the unyielding nature of the sect's laws. The defiant disciple, however, reveals that he is on the verge of achieving the revered "Sword Reverence" state, a level of mastery that would exempt him from carrying a sword. The senior disciple mocks him, doubting his abilities, as the disciple has yet to even manifest sword energy. The defiant disciple counters by explaining the true mark of the Sword Reverence state: the ability to communicate with one's sword and summon it at will. As he speaks, a chilling aura begins to emanate from him, shocking the senior disciple and others present. Despite their disbelief, the disciple demonstrates his newfound power, summoning his sword effortlessly. The senior disciple is left in stunned silence, unable to comprehend how someone who once seemed so weak could achieve such a profound level of mastery. The scene ends with the realization that the disciple has transcended their expectations, leaving everyone questioning the limits of their own abilities.
