Later, it's revealed that Hudson's mother is trying to force him into a marriage for $300 million, but he has a girlfriend and his mother's plan is met with resistance. The scene ends with chaos as the young woman tries to escape and find Hudson.

  Joanna, now married to Glacier Lund, reveals she's pregnant with Hudson's child. After giving birth to a girl, Glacier's family is displeased about the child's illegitimate origins. Meanwhile, Han Zhou Harris, formerly Harry, has regained his sight and is searching for Joanna, but she's disappeared. He returns to the Lund house, where he learns Joanna has given birth. The Lund family had spent $300 million to acquire her, but they're unhappy about the situation. Han decides to visit Joanna, and as he approaches, he calls out to her.

  Joyce Winters is confronted by Glacier Lund, who has spent $300 million to bring her back. He's furious that she's had a child with another man and accuses her of being morally loose. Joyce tries to explain that she was forced into marriage by her mother, but Glacier refuses to listen. He calls her dirty and tells her to get lost. Meanwhile, Joyce is desperate to hold on to a jade pendant given to her by Hudson, which serves as a family heirloom and a symbol of their connection. The pendant holds sentimental value, and losing it would mean losing her chance to find Hudson again.
