• Ep. 1
  Liang Sheng, a mafia boss, is on his deathbed and asks his subordinate Gu ZiHan to find his wife, Ming Yue, and their child. Ming Yue is determined to keep her family safe and warns her husband that if he leaves, she will not let him return. However, Liang Sheng is determined to make a name for himself outside and promises to take care of their children when he returns. Gu ZiHan finds Ming Yue and her child, but it's revealed that the child is actually Liang Sheng's son with another woman. Ming Yue is furious and warns Gu ZiHan that if Liang Sheng tries to leave, she will make sure he never comes back. Liang Sheng, however, is determined to prove himself and decides to go out and make a name for himself before returning to his family. He promises to take care of his children and make them proud. Ming Yue, on the other hand, is worried about her family's safety and warns Liang Sheng that she will not let him leave if he tries to abandon them again. The scene ends with Liang Sheng determined to make a name for himself and Ming Yue worried about her family's future. The story sets the stage for a complex web of relationships, loyalty, and power struggles within the mafia world.
• Ep. 2
  Liang Sheng has passed away, and his subordinate Gu ZiHan is tasked with finding his wife Zhang MingYue to inherit the estate. Gu ZiHan locates her, now a truck driver struggling financially with debts of $2 million. He informs her that she is to take over as the head of the Liang family, but she is initially resistant. Despite her hesitation and past abandonment of the family, Gu ZiHan convinces her to return and claim her rightful position. As they prepare to leave, Zhang MingYue's son is introduced, and Gu ZiHan shows a gentle side, telling the child to wait in the car. The scene ends with Gu ZiHan addressing Zhang MingYue as "big sister" and attempting to persuade her to accept her new role.
• Ep. 3
  Zhang MingYue is met with hostility by a woman who claims she's not her mother. The woman reveals that Liang Sheng, the mafia boss, has a private son and orders Zhang to leave with him. Gu ZiHan appears, revealing that Liang Sheng wants Zhang to take over as the head of the mafia before his death. He informs her that the ceremony to recognize her as the new leader will be held at 2 pm, and if she doesn't attend, the organization will dissolve. Despite initial reluctance, Zhang is given an ultimatum and a chance to reconsider.
• Ep. 4
  Gu ZiHan demands that Zhang MingYue repay a debt of 1,000 million, which she insists is actually only 200 million. He reveals it's a high-interest loan and teases her about calling out for help. Meanwhile, someone offers to buy Xiaoyun's glasses for 500 million, valuing one eye at that price. Zhang MingYue refuses, saying Xiaoyun belongs to her. As the situation escalates, Xiaoyun cries out for her mother's rescue repeatedly.
• Ep. 5
  Zhang MingYue is held captive and struggles to break free, repeatedly pleading "放开我" (let me go). Her captor refuses, and she calls out for help. Suddenly, a figure known as "童鱼" (Tong Yu) appears, and Zhang MingYue urges them to "快跑啊童鱼" (hurry up and run, Tong Yu). As the scene unfolds, Gu ZiHan arrives, declaring his loyalty and devotion to Zhang MingYue. He promises to protect her, saying "我等你" (I'm waiting for you). With Gu ZiHan's help, Zhang MingYue is rescued, and she expresses gratitude, asking him to "救人" (save me). As they escape together, Zhang MingYue confesses her fear of being hurt again, but Gu ZiHan reassures her, saying "真的再救我" (truly save me this time).
