The chef is skeptical, but the woman explains that the dynasty is ruled by a one-armed warrior with a giant eagle. The chef realizes he has traveled back in time and sees an opportunity to use his modern culinary skills to gain an advantage. With his knowledge of advanced technology and culture, he believes he can thrive in this ancient society and become successful.
• Ep. 3
  A dramatic scene unfolds as a father demands to know if his daughter's suitor is willing to marry her. The suitor's response sparks tension, and the conversation takes a turn when the topic of a rare and potentially toxic ingredient, "君子," is brought up. The emperor's favorite concubine,贵妃, requests this dish, but the chef is hesitant due to its toxicity. The scene ends with a threat from a superior, warning the chef to prepare the dish or face consequences. Meanwhile, a separate conversation about wedding preparations and dowry takes place, with the groom's family being asked to pay twenty-two silver taels. The atmosphere is tense, with power struggles and culinary challenges at play.

  A servant is scolded and threatened by his master for being disobedient. The master warns him to behave or face punishment. Meanwhile, a princess's maid, Su, visits the kitchen and informs the servants that the princess has lost her appetite and needs a new chef to cook for her. She chooses one of the servants to go with her to the princess's quarters. The servant is warned by others that he will likely be punished or even killed if he fails to satisfy the princess's culinary demands. Su provides more information about the princess's condition, including her bad temper, irregular bowel movements, and nightmares. The servant expresses confidence that he can help the princess with his cooking skills, potentially using recipes that can balance her yin and yang energies.
• Ep. 5
  The modern chef, now a servant in ancient times, is summoned by the princess. She orders him to wake up and prepare food for her. The chef presents his dish, "購奴菜", and explains its unique flavor. However, their conversation takes an unexpected turn as the chef offers the princess a special oil, "費羅蒙金油", which he claims can enhance her emotional experience. The princess is intrigued, and the chef begins to demonstrate its effects, but their interaction is interrupted by others. The scene ends with the chef's awkward attempt to compliment the princess, followed by an outburst of laughter.
