Julie Stein wacht aus ihrem Schlaf auf und erwartet einen weiteren gewöhnlichen Tag. Zu ihrer Überraschung findet sie sich jedoch in den 80er Jahren wieder, einer völlig anderen Ära als der, in die sie gehört. Sie ist nicht nur die verstoßene Tochter einer wohlhabenden Familie, mit der sie keine Blutsverwandtschaft hat, sondern sie soll auch einen alten Mann mit zwei Kindern anstelle der leiblichen Tochter der Familie heiraten.
