• Ep. 1
  In the grand halls of the Prime Minister's residence, tensions rise as the young lady of the house confronts her maid. The lady, haughty and disdainful, berates the maid for daring to question her orders. The maid, born of humble origins, is forced to take the place of the lady in a marriage to the ailing Prince Ming, the Emperor's eldest son. The lady mocks the prince, calling him a sickly man with little time left to live, and threatens the maid with dire consequences if her deception is discovered. The maid, though initially distressed, finds solace in the thought of escaping the oppressive household. As the prince's entourage arrives to escort the bride, the maid steels herself for the uncertain future ahead, determined to play her part and survive the dangerous game of power and deceit.
• Ep. 2
  The maid, now disguised as the young lady, is relieved to leave the Prime Minister's residence, seeing it as the start of a new chapter. However, her companion expresses concern, revealing dark rumors about the prince, Ming Wang. It is said that his previous wives died mysteriously, and some believe he drained their life force to cure his illness. Now, with the prince unconscious and his fate uncertain, the maid is expected to marry him as part of a royal decree to bring him luck. Despite the grim circumstances, the maid remains calm, having prepared herself for this role. As she enters the prince's residence, whispers of pity follow her, as the people believe she is destined for a tragic fate. Meanwhile, the prince's condition remains unstable, casting a shadow over the impending marriage.
• Ep. 3
  The prince lies gravely wounded, poisoned and bearing countless sword and knife injuries. A servant, seemingly overwhelmed, laments his inability to save the prince, resigning himself to the prince's fate. He vows to protect the prince's estate and bring his mother there, believing it to be a better life than the one they had in the chancellor's residence. Meanwhile, another servant questions the effectiveness of the treatment being administered and expresses concern about leaving the prince alone with the maid. The first servant angrily dismisses these worries, warning that if anything happens to the prince, the chancellor's entire household will face dire consequences. The tension rises as the prince's survival hangs in the balance, and the maid's loyalty and resourcefulness are put to the test.
• Ep. 4
  The maid, disguised as the young lady, confronts the prince after saving his life. She teases him, reminding him that he owes her his life. The prince, still suspicious, demands to know who sent her. She insists that no one sent her and reveals her identity as Yun Miaomiao, the daughter of the Chen family, claiming to be his rightful bride. The prince, confused and skeptical, questions the legitimacy of their arranged marriage. The tension between them grows as the maid tries to convince him of her true identity while the prince struggles to reconcile his feelings with his doubts.
• Ep. 5
  The prince awakens to find himself in a precarious situation. His loyal servant informs him that he was poisoned and fell into a coma, but the emperor arranged for the daughter of the prime minister to marry him and perform a ritual to cleanse his body, which miraculously revived him. The prince, however, dismisses the ritual as nonsense and orders all related items to be discarded. As the prince recovers, his advisor questions his recent actions, particularly why he chose to attack the Rui Prince instead of consolidating his power in the court. The prince explains that the court is too unstable, and he is not yet ready to reveal his ambitions. The advisor then raises concerns about the new princess, suggesting she might be a spy like the previous ones. The prince, however, decides to spare her, believing her to be harmless since she was sent solely to perform the cleansing ritual. The tension in the court remains high as the prince navigates the dangerous political landscape.
