  Ethel, a new maid, accidentally breaks the office's favorite mug, which belongs to Venn. The other staff members are quick to blame and fire her, despite her protests of innocence. Monica, the one in charge, tells Ethel to leave and offers her money to keep quiet. However, Ethel insists that she didn't break the mug and needs the job. He orders his staff to keep Ethel on and have her work every day, also warning Clover to behave. Despite the initial incident, Ethel is allowed to continue working, but is warned to be on time the next day. Vince's interest in Ethel is palpable, and he seems determined to keep her close.
